Why I Love Pregnancy Massage

To be invited into that space, to support someone as they grow and change — it’s honestly an honour every single time.
I’ve been working with pregnant women since 2008, when I started doing in-home massage for a beautiful woman named Charlotte who ran City Haven Massage. Her passion was pregnancy massage, and it became mine too. I learned so much during that time — not just about safe techniques, but about presence, patience, and the kind of support pregnant women really need.
One of my favourite parts of pregnancy massage is gently including the belly-It’s such a powerful area, full of life and change. I also pay close attention to the upper glutes and hips, where so many women hold discomfort as their posture shifts and their body prepares for birth. These areas are often overlooked, but they’re so important — and can bring so much relief when treated properly.
I love creating a safe, nurturing space where women can exhale — where they don’t have to be “on” or “doing,” but can simply rest and receive. There’s something really beautiful about helping a woman connect with her body, her breath, and her baby.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of women through all stages of pregnancy — each one different, each one special. And every time I finish a treatment, I feel grateful to be part of that journey, even in a small way.
